Where our facts come from

Last checked 22 October 2026

We list a step as "done" only when an official source shows it: the Gazette, PIB, Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha answers, Department of Expenditure orders or the Commission's own website. Figures that come only from news reports, such as fitment-factor estimates, are labelled with who said them.

How we keep it current

• We check PIB, the Department of Expenditure DA orders and 8cpc.gov.in for each update and date every change.
• DA is updated on the day an order or Cabinet decision is published.
• When the Commission reports, every page that says "not decided" is reviewed the same day.
